A remembrance poem by Karen Morral
It’s the eleventh of November
A day we stop and think;
A day that we remember,
A day we raise a drink.
To thank the generations past
For all that they did give;
They gave their strength and courage
So that each of us could live.
We thank those in our forces
Willing to give the same
We thank those who we do not know
And will never know their name.
So every eleventh of November
On the eleventh strike of the bell
A nation will fall silent
And our thoughts on heroes dwell.
