On 9 February 2025, Cornwall Orienteering Club (KERNO) is hosting an orienteering event at Lanydrock, near Bodmin, Cornwall. Entries are now open.

This is open to everyone, and we encourage newcomers to join us. No experience is necessary, and there are courses to suit all levels of skill and fitness. I’ve put together an introduction to orienteering to explain what to expect. There will also be plenty of people around on the day to offer advice and explain what’s going on. We’re a friendly bunch.

Orienteering needs new participants to keep this amazing sport alive, and I hope this event will be a perfect opportunity to give it a go. I am the course planner and would be delighted to be joined by as many people as possible – friends, family, club members and strangers.
