Science communication and project management

I’m pleased to offer freelance services in:

• Writing and editing grant proposals, reports, briefing papers, impact case studies, web content, media stories and promotional copy
• Managing research projects, communications campaigns and digital media production
• Event organisation, including conferences, workshops, science festivals, community events, open days, webinars and hybrid events
• Training in writing for a non-specialist audience

I draw on two decades of diverse professional experience. To name a few examples, this includes: gaining a PhD studying butterfly migration, training honeybees to detect explosives, publishing two popular science books, running Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative events in 15 countries on four continents, developing the first ever Biology Week, and managing multi-disciplinary projects in fisheries science and offshore renewable energy.
